Karen is a Bone Artist! Turning her osteo-archaeological teaching collection of bones and specimens into designs that pique curiosity and attract the eye. She named her business Mountain Medusa Designs. Karen worked as a field archaeologist collecting bones during adventures and surveys through California. Now, she is a college professor teaching students about Biological Anthropology and Archaeology. She also raises dermestid beetles to clean remains for a local taxidermist, and she takes a holistic approach to clean, degrease, and white bones for her designs. She is creating art that lives beyond the grave.
